This policy explains what data the FRAZZLE mobile game ("the App", "FRAZZLE", "we", "us") collects, why, and your rights over it. FRAZZLE is a single-player, offline puzzle game. The only personal data leaving your device is what is required to show advertising, as described below.

This App is provided by the developer of FRAZZLE ("we", "us", the "developer" and "data controller"). You can reach us at frazzle2026@gmail.com.

1. Summary

We do not ask you to create an account or provide your name, email or any personal details to play.
Your game progress, scores and settings are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to us.
We show ads through Google AdMob. To do this, Google may collect certain device and usage data, including your advertising identifier.
In the EU/EEA and UK, you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice at any time.

2. Data stored on your device (not collected by us)

The game saves the following locally on your device using standard web storage (localStorage) inside the app. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed if you clear the app's data or uninstall it:

Game progress, current board state and your high scores.
Preferences such as theme, ball skin, board size and sound/mute settings.

3. Data collected for advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC ("Google"), to display banner advertisements. When ads are served, Google may collect and process information such as:

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

For users in the EU/EEA and UK, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for personalised advertising and any associated storage of/access to identifiers on your device. Before such ads are shown, you are presented with a consent choice via Google's consent management platform. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 7).
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — where you decline personalised ads, we and Google may still show limited, non-personalised ads to keep the App free, and process the minimum data needed to do so and to prevent fraud.

5. Consent in the EU/EEA and UK

When required, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before showing personalised ads. You may choose personalised ads, non-personalised ads, or otherwise limit processing as offered in that dialog. You can reopen this choice at any time from the App (see Section 7).

6. International transfers

Google may process data in countries outside the EU/EEA, including the United States. Where it does, Google relies on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and applicable adequacy decisions. See Google's policy links in Section 3 for details.

7. Your choices and controls

Reset or change ad consent (EU/EEA/UK)

Re-open the consent dialog from the App's settings to change your choice at any time.

Reset or delete your advertising identifier

On Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording varies by device), where you can reset your advertising ID or delete it to opt out of ad personalisation across apps.

Delete on-device data

Clear the app's storage (Settings → Apps → FRAZZLE → Storage → Clear data) or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored game data.

8. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because we do not hold account data ourselves, requests about advertising data are generally directed to Google as the controller of that data; you can also contact us at frazzle2026@gmail.com and we will help where we can. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.cz).

9. Children

FRAZZLE is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, contact us and we will address it. Ad content is configured for a general audience.

10. Data retention

On-device game data persists until you clear it or uninstall the App. Advertising data collected by Google is retained according to Google's own retention policies (see Section 3).

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App or the law. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where changes are significant, provide notice in the App.
